Hi, Donna -- Thank you for your response. My Shearer family went from Pennsylvania to Ohio and apparently stayed there, with some moving from Holmes Co to Stark Co. I don't know of a reverse migration from Ohio to Pennsylvania, so I would doubt there is a connection. Also, I have not found any Samuel's in the records that are related to us.
