Hi, I am researching my DOUGAN/DUGAN family from Killbuck Township, Holmes County, OH....William Morrow Dugan (b. 1817, died 1900) and his wife, Esther Parkhill Dugan (b. 1817, died 1885 in Millersburg) ,lived in Killbuck Township.... I recently found out information that William M. Dougan, his wife, Esther, William's mother (!), Margaret McClelland Dougan (died 1855 at the age of about 80 in Killbuck Township) and 4 of William and Esther's children who died of Diptheria (dates not given, but they died within a week of each other) are buried in a cemetary near Millersburg (my relative called it Millersburg cemetary. I was writing to find out what cemetaries exist near Millersburg that the Dougans/Dugans could be buried in? Thank you so much! Alison Bigbee
You are correct. William and Esther Parkhill Duncan are buried in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg, Ohio. The Cemetery is on the east side of the village just off the main east-west street. Hi Bob, Thank you so much for writing back....I really appreciate it! I am confused...Are you saying that William and Esther Parkhill Dougan's last name in the book is spelled Duncan? Would you be so kind as to give me the dates of their deaths (and births) if they are listed in the book? Also, a most important question: Is there a Margaret Dougan (d. 1855) buried in Oak Hill Cemetary? Could her name also be spelled Duncan? I really appreciate all your help!
