    1. [OHHOLMES] Dougan family from Killbuck, Mechanic Township
    2. Alison Bigbee
    3. Hi, I am researching the Dougan family from Killbuck Township--the Dougans are from Fayette county, PA and bought land in Holmes County in the late 1820's, early 1830's. The Patriarch of the family, Robert Dougan, died in Fayette County in 1834--his 2 sons, James and William Dougan moved to Holmes County. James Dougan (living in Mechanic Township in 1843) died in 1849 and I believe that I found a burial for James Dougan in Oak Hill Cemetary near Millersburg (I am not sure of the burial record, however.) The other son, William Dougan, moved to Killbuck Township by 1850--his mother, Margaret McClelland Dougan (age 75) is living with him in the 1850 census (she doesn't appear in the 1860 census.) William Dougan married Esther Parkhill in the 1840's in Fayette County, PA and had children: Margaret, Sarah, James P., and Elizabeth (who married John Franklin Schiltz in 1885.) William Dougan died in 1900 and Esther Parkhill Dougan died in 1885....I am looking for any information on this family! Where in Killbuck township or surrounding area may they be buried? Thank you so much for your time! Alison Bigbee in Phoenix

    3. I would also like information on the Dougan/Dugan family. I have a Fanny Good b. PA abt. 1806. Her father had brought their family to Killbuck area of Holmes Co. in the 1820's from PA. I did find a marriage record for Fannie and George DUGAN recorded in Coshocton Co. and the marriage date was Jan. 2, 1824. That is the complete total of information that I have. Knowing where they were, about either of their families, etc. would help me much. Primarily searching the John Good family and his wife Elizabeth.
