I visited Holmes county last spring and found all the cemeteries I was searching for except the Bucy Cemetery. From the map I had it took us down a narrow road with homes on the right and then down a hill side. Is the cemetery maybe on someone's personal property? I found lots of Bucy's in other cemetery's but Matilda, Thomas, and Elizabeth are listed as being buried in the Bucy Cemetery. Has anyone done any more research on the Barnes Cemetery? Don't think there is a complete list of who was buried there. Lewis Reynolds is listed d. 1829 - my GG Grandfather's Addison's, b. 1824 in OH, uncle. Lewis's wife Lydia was listed with children next to James my GGG Grandfather. (Lewis and James were brother's and came to Coshoctan county then later Holmes in 1823 on land records. Lydia married John Turner - Her children were easier to trace they stayed until older ages with their mother, Thomas, Levi, and Samuel ? Clarrisa. I am still trying to find out what happened to James Reynolds from Richland T.P. He is last listed in the 1850 census. He was 63 then. He was born in Nottingham PA (Quaker) Might help if I could find what religion he was following in 1820's and 30's in OH. His older children Matilda, ? 2 son's ? Levi and George were born in MD. Would like to find out if George Reynolds listed in 1850 age 36 in Monroe T.P. was possibly one of his older sons. His wife Prudence is listed on land records but I have not found who she was originally, when or where they were married. I think she was his second wife and was probably from OH. No record of marriage or when either died or where they are buried. Don't see a female that would be age of wife on 1830 census. James' youngest son was listed with him on 1850 census James - b. 1831. (Brick Wall for us) Dee Behrens (Reynolds) [email protected]
