HI Cindy, My great-great-great grandfather Powel Hohmann or Homan came from Germany around 1839. He migrated to the Paint Twp. area around then. Diane Nott <<If I've read the archives for this list correctly part of Paint Twp. was in Wayne Co. That explains why my ancestors from a century ago told that Christian Horein immigrated into New York and went directlyto Wayne Co, OH, even though I've only found him in Holmes Co. (1840; the year he immigrated!) Are there other folks on this list with ancestors from Germany that immigrated ca 1840 and came to the Paint Twp. area?
