Been searching the archives for this list, trying to find out if there's information available on burials for members of the Zion Church at Winesburg. Did the Church have its own cemetery? Is there a publication including those burials? Where would one find this info? Thanks. Cindy Kimes
Is anyone looking for a Margaretha Horein that would have been in the Holmes Co, OH area in 1852. She was a sponsor for a baptism that took place that year. Figure she has to be related, but can't find the link! Any clues? Cindy Kimes

Hello OHHOLMES list, I received the following from another list's administrator. Thought all of you should know about it. I hope this list's administrator doesn't mind me posting this, but this evening's digest seems to suggest that this might be pertinent. Good luck!! Hi - Earlier this week I saw that the FTM site has a section called the "Virtual Cemetery." I of course typed in "Franks" to see what might turn up and found some tombstones of Paulding Co. OH relatives. I thought this looked like an interesting idea, and have started adding some scans of photos I've taken from visits to Jacobs Lutheran Church Cemetery in Fayette Co. PA, as well as some Wayne and Holmes Co. OH cemeteries. (I also have to credit our Franks cousin Chris Coleman, as some of these JLC photos are hers!). Hopefully these pics will be of interest to some of you! http://www.genealogy.com/vcem_welcome.html Susan Franks Leininger
To all listers, I apologize if you get the message more than once. I am sure many of you, like me, subscribe to all these lists. I would like to find the parents of George GONSER. There were several Gonser families in this area of Ohio, and one must connect. George GONSER b. c. 1824 in Ohio; married 1) Lida HENRY (appeared on the 1850 census with her in Coshocton Co. OH. Children: Cornelius, Austin, Sophia married 2) Catherine ROW 1855 in DeKalb Co. IN children: Millard, Almira, Charles W., Ardella, Cora, James, Minnie, Sidney, Lilla, William Found on the 1860 and 1880 census in Fairfield Twp., DeKalb Co. IN. (I have more dates, etc.) Catherine is the daughter of George S. Row and Magdalena Snellenberger. George S.'s father is quite likely a brother of Nicholas Row, husband of Mary Magdalene (Molly) Gonser, my gggg grandparents. Thanks for any help. Happy holidays. Hi - For those of you who are descendants of Michael Franck/Franks of Fayette County, PA (c.1725-1793) and missed the opportunity to purchase the 1979 publication of the Michael Franks family history, there should be a reprint of this book available next year. Many of Michael Franks' descendants initially settled in Wayne Co., then migrated to the Shreve, Holmesville, Millersburg, Nashville/Loudonville areas. Related surnames include Badger, Bonewitz, First, Fluhart(y), Hoffman/Huffman, Hostettler, Kerr, Leckrone, Mackey, Matthews, Miller, Riddle, Starner, Wachtel. The original project was undertaken by genealogists Alice Rowley Franks and Donald Sublette, and was sponsored by the Franks Clan Association in Uniontown PA. The reprint will be a profitless endeavor, and this new "edition" will also include a much-needed everyname index. We have also included a new "foreword" which briefly addresses some of the issues of inaccuracies/omissions in the original book. Cost of the reprint will be finalized after the book has finished being retyped and indexed. It is also dependent to some degree on the number of books printed. We are interested in hearing from anyone who might be interested in a copy of the book so that a rough estimate of the needed copies can be made. Please contact me at sflein@aol.com if you have any questions on the reprint, or if you may be interested in a copy of the book. Thanks! Susan Franks Leininger
