Hello Holmes County list members, I'm new to the list and writing to see if any of y'all might be able to help me out. I'm pulling together the paperwork for a Sons of the Revolution application, but my documentation is week for a few generations. I've listed the four generations that I have only week proof for at the bottom of this e-mail. I have census records from 1850 through 1880 showing the lineage. This helps, but the Sons of the Revolution state that while they don't exclude census records, they should be enhanced by vital records, wills, deeds or something that provides stronger proof. So my question is: does anyone have any wills, deeds or any other records of any kind (in addition to the census records that I already have) that would help prove the week links listed below? I'd appreciate any help that your might be able provide. Thanks in advance. Peter Neville These are my weak links in summary: 5. Samuel Tilden Neville (1876-1965) OH>CO, m. One has to erase each entry individually, but it works!

I need to confirm the birth info. on Fredericka (Harriet) Holderread or Holdread. I show she was born Nov. 5, 1849 in Holmes Co., OH. She is the daughter of Frederick Holderread. Also, does anyone have access to the 1850 Holmes Co., OH census? Thanks for your time, Connie Holdread
I am looking for any information with regards to a David and Rachel DeWitt who lived in this county around the 1840's. They had a large family and could have moved to Knox County because my ancestor Elliott DeWitt took a bride in 1850. thanks Cheryl Doud
Hi. I'm looking for information on my Day ancestors from Holmes County. In particular, I am searching for William Sanford Day, born September 19, 1819 in Holmes County. I believe his parents were Benjamin B. Day and Roxena Purdy, from Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He married Rebecca Hart, who I believe was the child of Ashen and Sally Bailey Hart. Rebecca was born March 30, 1820, also, I believe in Holmes County. She died in 1851 of typhoid, in Coshocton County. Their children included Isaac Wilson Day, also Lewis, Harriet and Stephen. I'm not sure where their children were all born, but I don't think it was in Holmes County. If any of this looks familiar or anyone can give me suggestions about where to look, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Winesburg, Ohio is by Sherwood Anderson. The story is about Clyde, OH Keith Clark
>My question..... does anyone know how Winesburg, OH came to >be called Winesburg? FYI There is a called Winesburg, Ohio. It is a fictional account of life in a small town. I don't recall the author offhand. But this book is not about our Winesburg. The author didn't know there really was a Winesburg in Ohio :) My Winesburg lines- Fankhauser and Zurcher. gin
