This is just an interesting aside but in a diary kept by my Gr gr gr grandfather Ellis HIATT, he writes on August 18, 1890, "CARTERS & REDKEYS here." Ellis lived in Paint Township, Highland County all of his life (1834 - 1906). If nothing else, this lets you know that some of the Redkey family were still in the vicinity. Also, I know I owe some "look ups" to different folks on the Highland Co mailing list; I was out of town all this past week (got home last night), and am just beginning to get back up to speed.
