I'm new to this list and I'm searching for information on my great, great grandfather, William C. SERGEANT, b. 1820 at Winchester, Frederick Co. VA and then with his parents and family Amos and Henrietta Clark Sargent, moved to Highland Co. OH. William married Emily CREED in 1843 and they had a family of 9 children, most of them born in Highland Co. William was a trustee of the Methodist Church in the Hillsboro area and then around 1865 moved to Illinois and eventually to Iowa.
