I am looking for the parents of John Underwood born in 1805 in the area of what is now Brown County. John and 3 brothers were to have been orphaned and bound out at an early age. John married Lovica Secrist/Secress around 1824 and was in Hamilton Co. for the birth of at least one son Aaron "Amos" in 1834. The family moved to Decatur Co. IN for about 10 years then maybe back to OH for a year or so. By 1846 they were in Mahaska Co Iowa where the last three children were born. In the 1880 census it is stated that John's father was born in Ire. and his mother was b. in PA I found an Alexander Underwood in an 1810 tax list for Highland Co. I think it is possible for him to be John's father. John's first son was Jeremiah Alexander. Does anyone have any information on John's family and Alexander? Thanks for any help, Robin
