Thomas Henry Beveridge was a 1st Lt.. in the 89th Ohio out of Highland Co., OHIO. Records indicate that he muster in 26 Aug 1862 at Hillsboro, OHIO and that he resigned his position 18 Oct 1862 while at Pt. Pleasant, OHIO. The resignation would have been shortly after the birth of his son, Albert Jeremiah Beveridge by his second wife, Frances Parkinson Doyle Beveridge. A.J. Beveridge went on to become a United States Senator from the state of Indiana and was at one time considered as a Vice-presidential candidate. He broke from the party with Teddy Roosevelt to form the Bull Moose Party and was never fully involved in the party after. Any information on this family while in Highland Co., Ohio would be appreciated. Looking especially for information on the Civil War aspect. Have the records but would like more. ken parker
