Is anyone researching the names SIMPSON or SIMBO? I found the marriage record of John Simpson and Elizabeth Simbo in the Highland Co. marriage records. They were married Feb. 2, 1850. John disappeared on Feb. 4, 1863. They had the following children: Joseph Harlem born 1851, Peter Oscar born May 14,1853, Sarah Edith born 1855, Jacob Thomas born 1857, Elizabeth Kate born 1861, and Allie Francis born Feb. 8, 1863( four days after John disappeared.) Elizabeth then married Milton Lucas in 1872 in Highland Co.. If anyone has information on this family please contact me. Can anyone tell me if there were newspapers for Highland Co. in 1863?
