hi all, i've been off this list for a short time (switching over from @home to @mchsi) so i may have missed this, but i'll ask anyway..... does anyone have a death certificate or any other information on the children of Geroge W. Charles (b-12/12/1780 - d-11/22/1861). he was married 3 times: 1- Sarah "Sally" Dempsey, 2- Ann Holden Charles (widow of James Charles), and 3- Nancy Barrow. i know of 1 son, George D. Charles (b-abt 1829), and strongly suspect 2 other children: Sarah (b-abt. 1834) and Nelson (b-abt. 1812). also, does anyone know who the parents were for: Andrew, who married Mahala Pence on Oct 3, 1868 Andrew, who married Sarah C. Fawley on Sep. 15, 1878 N. W. (who is this), who married Sarah Elizabeth Donohoo on 3/25/1875 W.A., who married Lydia ?, both buried at Mt. Zion Cem. in New Market **Margaret, who married Moses Carothers on Jun 8,1848 (**= i am very interested in Margaret and Moses Carothers because one of their children, George, ended up in the household of George and Nancy Barrows Charles in the 1860 census. was Margaret one of George's daughters/sisters/neices???) i know this is asking a lot and maybe i'm not going about this the right way, but i would greatly appreciate any help sorting this family out. thank you in advance :o) paula charles burlington, iowa "Homeschooling is a great way for parents to fill in the gaps in their own education." ~~from another homeschool mommy and dear online friend~~
