Sept.5, 1761. Was present at the Surrender of the British Army under Cornwallis at York Town Oct. 19, 1791. Died Oct. 19, 1854. Aged 93 yrs. 6 wks. (D.A.R. Marker: "Soldier of the Revolution" Charlotte Downs White, wife, b. at Lexington Ky., d. July 16, 1847, aged in 77th year. James G. White, son, b. June 11, 1817, d. June 8, 1886, aged 69yrs. 3 ds. (on the same stone with Mary C. Freshour and Walter Zane Bush.) 3 other White's listed, not sure if related but these 3 apparrently are on the same plot, but not the one with Charles: William (1824-1910), Jane D. (1828-1898), Robert W. (1848-1927)
