I have a different set of children with my Catherine so am not sure what is right. The children I have are Catherine, Betty, Mattie, Lish, and Nancy. This list was given to me by an elderly relative. We do both have Nancy. These people liked to use nick names so I don't know. They could be the same family. The marriage record of Nathan J. Phillips to Katharine Pulse says 20 Sept. 1837. This information is on the Vital Records Microfilm # 56300000 from Salt Lake City. It's called "Marriage Records 1796-1837, Grainger, Tennessee. It gives Nathan I. Phillips but this is the same person as Nathan J. Phillips. The bondsman was William McAlhaney. Nathan's brother, Joel Phillips, married Lucy Pollard McAlhaney. I don't have McAlhaney lines researched but I'll be willing to bet Joel's wife is a relative to the bondsman, William. e-mail me if you have more questions.
