I am descended from Jeremiah Archer of Smithfield in Georges Township, Fayette County, PA. He came to Highland County, Ohio, about 1836-1837. I am descended from his son, Jeremiah. Jeremiah senior also had two daughters, Eleanor (b.1804) and Elizabeth (b.1825) Eleanor married David McConnaughey Jr. and Elizabeth married William Ferren. The Ferrens were married in Highland County and died in Highland County. I'm not sure, but I believe that the McConnaugheys were married in PA and came to Highland around the same time as Jeremiah Archer. If you think that we are connected, I'd like to give you the rest of what I have and would be grateful if you could give me any additional information. I've been told that the Archers were from Scotland, so perhaps this was a whole group of famiies that came together.
