My grandfather, his father, his father and going back to Lemuel Steel b 1786 lived in Logan and Highland, Ohio. We have not been able to trace where Lemuel came from. My grandfather's mother's family were Longs and back in their line are Butters, all living in the Logan and Highland, Ohio area. How does one find out if there families were of Melundgeon desent?
