hi all, i just signed up for this group and wanted to share why :o) i'm working on my husband's CHARLES family.... from what i have: George CHARLES, Sr was born in abt 1781 in PA - he married Sarah Sally DEMPSEY (b abt 1788 in VA) on Nov. 2, 1807 in Highland Co., OH - they had at least one child, named George D. CHARLES, Jr. - Sarah Sally DEMPSEY died Nov. 2, 1852 in OH - George Sr. then marries Ann CHARLES on Aug. 5, 1853, again in Highland Co., OH - she dies abt 1858 - George Sr. then marries Nancy BARROW on Dec. 17, 1859, still in Highland Co., OH - it appears that George CHARLES Sr dies in 1861 George D.
