Hi, If you are researching any of the above surnames, please contact me. I have very sketchy data on these families in Highland Co., Ohio and would love to fill in the blanks. I have very complete data on the Sloan/Slone family in Clermont Co., OH and would love to share also. You can view all of my names in Ohio at http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/w/e/l/Claudia-C-Welton/ in the HUGE file. Thanks for your consideration, Claudia
At 15 years old or so CRANDALL, Angeline Melissa boarded a covered wagon and headed out west so she would not have to marry an older man. Her father was a Mormon,I believe. She married BRUNTY, John T. (from Ireland?) and it is believed that may have been in Susanville, Lassen Co., CA where she also gave birth to her son, BRUNTY, John F. b. 21/04/1865, however, there seem to be no records in Lassen Co. as it was a goldrush town. (The "F" in my Grandfather's name stands for Francisco (as in San Francisco), and I believe it's because John T. might have left Ireland during the potato family and gone straight for the gold. I have no idea where to start, but had such a situation in TN and it seemes as though everybody seemed to rally 'round me. Hope you will help too.

Hi everyone, I apologize for cross posting, but I am trying to make this connection and someone out there must have some information. Known places of residence were Clinton and Highland County, Ohio as early as 1810 for the Phillips family. In our PHILLIPS familyBible, there is a listing in the death records it merely states that "Hannah Prickett died May 27 1847; Age 80 years 8 months and 6 days." No place of death is listed. I feel certain that Hannah Prickett is somehow related to the PHILLIPS family. All of the entrys in the Bible is a relation. I just can't make this connection. John PHILLIPS is the end of the line Phillips and his wife is Martha? Is Martha a Prickett? I can find no references or resources to help me make this connection. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Margo ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail. Pennsylvania 24 Mar 1766, and died in/near New Market, Highland Co. Ohio 4 Jul 1852. Warmest regards, Tom Tom Robison Ossian, Indiana tcrobi@adamswells.com Never argue with an idiot. Tom, Ohio is correct. There is no Highland County in Indiana. There is a town named New Market, in the middle of New Market Township, in Highland County, Ohio. It was named by immigrants from the town of New Market in Shenandoah County, Virginia. Norman Tom Robison wrote: > I may be suffering under a misconception.
