This is great! Usually, I manage to find info / connections for others. Am finally finding some of my connections. As you read my query, you see where that connection is. What branch are you? I'd like to hear what the stories are from the elderly gent that you visited. The cemetery that you mention is the Old Storer Cem, correct? >>e-mail>>ariloosa@juno.com<<<if you would like, tho there are probably others in these families who are interested in the history. Did these families come on the Ohio River from Pennsylvania? I have that ggggrandfather, George Van Ness was born in Sussex Co.,NJ 15 Feb 1755(+ Elleanor Van Lear). Thanks so much...

    1. [OHHIGHLA-L] Jimmie Joe MILLER of Highland Co, OH, d. 1950
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: MILLER Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/2YB.2ACI/2055 Message Board Post: I am trying to find the parents of my great-grandfather Jimmie Joe MILLER who lived in Highland Co, OH in the early 1900s, probably in the town of Carmel. He married Lula Agatha BEEKMAN and their children included Kenneth, Frank, Junior, Lucille, Dorothy, Helen, Irene, and Marjorie. Four of these siblings married into the REED family of that area. Jimmie Joe is said to have been a preacher at the “Millertown Tabernacle,” which had a sawdust floor. He died 1 Aug 1950 and is buried at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Sinking Spring, OH. His gravestone identifies him as “Jimmie Joe,” although my grandmother (his daughter) thinks his proper name may have been “James Joseph.” Any help in tracking down his roots would be appreciated. I’m afraid I have very little information about this family to share, but will share what I have. Thanks!
