I am searching for the family of Robert DUNN. His wife was Louisa M. BEUCLER, b. abt. 1862, probably around White Oak Twp. I have info on the death of their son Earl R. DUNN in White Oak Twp on Mar 5, 1895 as an infant.
I am searching for the family of Harry P. RUBLE b. June 2, 1893 in Mowrystown, Ohio. His wife was Zelline BEUCLER, b. Mar 26, 1891. They had at least 2 daughters Fern and Isabel. I believe Harry died in Lynchburg, Ohio in Dec. 1973. Jim Beucler
Requesting any info on the BEAVERS family in Highland County. Thanks RSly <[email protected]> Researching: Beavers, Bruce, Conner, Cummings, Curtis, Daugherty, Dean, DeSart, Eagles Doolittle, Harshbarger, Hill, Ingraham, Lindsey, Maley, Massey/Massie, Murphy, Paist, Pedelty, Plummer, Riddle, Sly, Starkey, Sylvain, Trottier, Van Sint, Welsh, Williams
I have another question for the Highland Co FENNER researchers, particularly Margo I Lurvey: What can you tell me about Elizabeth Ann Fenner, b. PA, who married John Moberly in Hillsboro, Highland Co (WFT Est. 1820-1848)? John and Elizabeth had 10 children, including Sarah Moberly b. Jan 1815 in Liberty Twp who married into my Roads line. Was Elizabeth Ann Fenner related to Stephen Fenner whose descendants published on this mailing list 12 Dec 98? Thanks, Teresa Whiting
Teresa Whiting asked; >What can you tell me about Elizabeth Ann Fenner, b. PA, who married >John >Moberly in Hillsboro, Highland Co (WFT Est. 1820-1848)? John and >Elizabeth had 10 children, including Sarah Moberly b. Jan 1815 in >Liberty Twp who married into my Roads line. Unfortunately, I don't have the parents of Elizabeth Ann in my data. Maybe someone else researching the FENNER line can tell us who she belonged to. As you can see here, John Moberly's mother was a daughter of Stephen. I can't guarantee that all of this information is correct, but so far I'm finding it appears that it has been very well researched. Terry Hardgrave who is here somewhere was the submitter of one of the WFT lines and she has quite a bit of information about them. If anyone else has any input on this family, please do so. Hi Norman, My interest in the ZINK line is this. One of the ancestors in my husbands PHILLIPS line is Martha Jane ZINK. Martha and John P. PHILLIPS were married in January of 1856, Highland County, Ohio. They named one of their children Samuel. In the 1850 census Liberty Twp., Highland County, there is this family. Samuel ZINK 41 Cabinetmaker OH Jane 31 " Eliza Jane 12 " David H. 11 " Josephine 9 " Mary E. 6 " Wm A. 2 " George M 23 Cabinetmaker PA Then there is this family. Eli ZINK 32 School Teacher OH Lavinia 27 Nathan H. 7/12 And then there is this family Mary ZINK 68 MD Elizabeth 37 OH Maria 27 OH It is possible that your Samuel and my Martha were brother and sister. Could the above Samuel be yours? Is it possible that your Samuel was married twice? Have you checked the 1860 census for him? Cohlera was rampant in Highland County in the 1840's and 1850's so there were a lot of second marriages. Does anyone have the book? I have the index by Genevive Breakfield, and would like a lookup in the McBrides Book. In the index on page 387 for ZINK could you tell us what # 29 says. Also could you clear up the numbering in the index for me. Is the number after the name in the index the record number or is it the page number in McBrides Book? Norma, I'm going to move your note to the Highland County List so that other researchers can jump in on these families. Its kind of slow there right now and maybe we can get something started. I personally need more information about Samuel ZINK and Mariah FENNER, do you have the names of parents? Also Elvira MILLER, do you have any ancestry on her? Thanks for sending this, I am not running into any roadblocks in Highland County, just a lot of Round-a-Bouts! Margo --Snip-- >these families - primarily in Highland County. Jeff and Highland County Researchers, I am going to write this query and see if I am getting through. I may have gotten bounced while I was gone! I would like anyone who is researching the DUVALL line in Highland County, Ohio to come and join in with our research. We have very little information but basically are researching Mary Duvall who was married to John FENNER. We are fairly certain that Mary's father was Jeremiah (Rev) Duvall and her mother may have been Sarah PENN. Any information regarding this family will be greatly appreciated! Is anyone here the list owner?
There were two I know of in the mid 1800s but perhaps not as early as you would like: Highland News (a weekly) Hillsboro Gazette I know that the Hillsboro Public Library has microfilms of some of these early issues. Best regards, Richard Moore, Solana Beach
Luci, and all interested parties: The Ohio Historical Society maintains an online catalog of the state's microfilmed newspapers. They will loan microfilms to libraries nationwide. Below is the web URL. [Hopefully, I have not butchered it.] http://www.ohiohistory.org/textonly/resource/archlib/ill.html Enjoy your searches. John C. Rutherford
Joseph M. Baker was born 1846 in Highland Co. He died 16 mar 1873 and is buried in Harwood Cem. On 15 May 1869 Joseph Baker married Cynthia Jennie Barker who was born about 1845. Would like her exact birth date and death date. They apparently had only one child, a son, Joseph Melville Baker b. in 1872. He married Letitia "Tisha" Williams. Would like more information Thank you, Kathleen Rizer
