The original frame structures, according to M.B.Pittis, were replaced by brick buildings: the Methodist in 1883 and the Presbyterian in 1879 (pg.136 The Pittis Genealoogy). By ca.1945 the Presbyterian Church had closed and the Methodist Church had become a community center (pg.140). The Rev. Samuel Patterson, D.D. (1827-1906) served the Presbyterian Church from 1856 to 1906 (pg.138). Sorrry, no notes on the Methodist minister.
