Louise, Midvale,O; m. 3/27/1885, Deersville, Jennie May Adams, b. 5/25/1864, d. 12/23/1922, both bur. Chartiers Cemetery, Carnegie,Pa. He had a certificate to teach school at the age of 17, was blacksmith in Deersville for many years, then in Carnegie. Seven children, born at Deersville. Pg.178-180 In the Will of John Pittis, D.V.M. (1798-1884) there is a bequest of $200.00 to Nancy Adams, an adt'l $400.00 bequest (later revoked and replaced by adt'l $100.00). If I am decoding this correctly, Nancy was the daughter of Dr. Pittis' 2nd wife, Mrs.Asenath Cotterill (1804-1886), and Nancy Cotterill m. James Adams, a blacksmith in Deersville. Nancy & James had 2 daughters; names not given.
