Kevin, Catherine Shultz Hoobler was a sister to my third Great-grandfather, Solomon Shultz. Their parents were George Shultz and Elizabeth Shoemaker. I have George Shultz' original final estate papers which lists all of his children. The papers were saved by the Harrison County Genealogical Society and their wonderful volunteers located them for me on one of my visits. I've done some research on Catherine and her husband, Michael Hoobler. Their marriage record which I found at the Harrison County Courthouse states they were married October 26, 1813. I also have Catherine's death notice from the newspaper (the Harrison County Democrat, dated January 13, 1897) and a picture of her headstone (and Michael's) that I located at Zion Cemetery, German Twp. Catherine was born October 8, 1794 and died January 6, 1897. Catherine's obituary does not list her children other than her son, David, with whom she was living at the time. It does say she was the mother of ten children, six of whom are living. It mentions the fact the her husband, Michael Hoobler, has been dead for twenty-five years. There is no mention of an earlier husband. If you would like copies of any of these documents please let me know. I have a scanner and I can email them to you. I must tell you that her obituary has a sketch of her as she looked on her 100th birthday. That is a pretty rare thing in those days but she was the oldest Harrison County resident at the time of her death. Sharen Shultz Bowers in Columbus, Ohio
