    3. According to Symantec, (Norton AV), and CIACHoaxbusters, jdbgmgr.exe is not a virus but a useful program. Deleting it may require reinstallation for which a work-around/download has been established. Their advice is not to delete, that this message is a hoax and should be ignored. If you are uncertain, please contact websites: www.symantec.com or http://hoaxbusters.ciac.org . Both sites have search engines on which you can search results for jdbgmgr.exe and judge for yourself. 3. Anytime you get a virus warning that one, says "virus software can't detect it", and two, "go delete this file" it is almost certainly a hoax. Another hoax tip-off is "Microsoft just issued this virus warning!", Microsoft does not do that. Someone is playing a joke on all of us with these, just to see how far they can spread the panic, and how many computers they can damage. If you are really worried about viruses, install protection and keep it up to date. And don't ever delete a file on your computer that you don't know about, simply based on some forwarded e-mail. Let the virus protection software take care of it. At 10:00 AM 9/21/02 -0400, you wrote: >According to Symantec, (Norton AV), and CIACHoaxbusters, jdbgmgr.exe is not >a virus but a useful program.
