The last time i wrote Judy the mail came back. I looked for these old cemetery records for the Ridge Cemetery and have had no success. My wife and i attended services at the Ridge church October 2001 and afterwards were allowed to look at some old records in their files that they did not know what they had or what they were about. I did not find any old cemetery records or a map or list of who bought the plots in the Ridge cemetery. I also have the numbers and names of the trustees for Harrison County and have talked to a Mr. Rose one of the trustees and he said they have the records for the new side of the Ridge cemetery but not the old ones. When i was in Harrison this October looking for deeds i asked if they had records of the Ridge Cemetery and they did not. The only books they had were from the people who walked the cemeterys in Harrison and wrote down the names on the stones. I ! go back every year so i will be checking again because i believe it could be somewhere that no one knows what it is or since the ridge church once was held in many places or peoples homes before the church was built then it could be in a attic somewhere. My 5th great grandmother Elizabeth Willliams was buried there in February 1850 so there must have been a record then. Judy when we looked at the records at the ridge church i believe there was some Buchanans mentioned and my wife wrote them down. I will check this out. The records showed where members were admitted to church when married ,died ect and when some were kicked out of the church. J.R. Maxwell did you have some Meeks marry into your family?? Contact me i have some questions and i have been given some info that my 5th great grandmother Elizabeth williams was a Meeks and her brother or one family member married a Maxwell. Like Judy said these records arent forgotten we are still looking.
