Hello! I'm descended from Samuel Wilson, b 1772 in DE, d 1850 Harrison Co, OH. Lydia was a daughter married to William R. Holliday. They moved to Wheeling Western Virginia in 1833. I've read in a published book in the Wheeling Library that Lydia was descended from James Wilson a signer of the Declaration of Independence. I've also read in one of the old newspapers in Steubenville OH that she was a neice of James Wilson the signer. To date, I've not been able to find any connection between Samuel Wilson, my ancestor and James Wilson the signer. Is anyone researching the Samuel Wilson family at this time? or has anyone by chance, found a connection between the 2 men? Thanks .........Carol Scott *8)
