Missy, I do have a William Rose - that's all I have - he md Michel H. Whitten b. 19 Feb 1845 in Harrison Co. They md 1 Jun 1865 in Harrison Co. (All of this info on Whitten fam comes from another family member researching the Whitten family) They had a dau Hannah Rose b. 1866, Ida Eleanor b. 1 Jun 1872 in Franklin Twp, Harrison, Maggie b. 31 Oct 1879. Also there is Harriet Ann Rose (no info on her) md to James Winfield Whitten b. 17 Apr 1859 in OH. They md 1 Feb 1881 in Harrison Co. I saw that you had Sophia Gardner whom I'm interested in as my Great Aunt Ethel Swaim md a Luther Gardner the s/o J.O. Gardner also b. in OH. We don't have anything further back on where this Gardner family may have moved from. They lived in Gnadenhutten, OH. in 1966. Take care, -JO (Jeanne) Looking for info on my husband's family. The furthest back we have is Robert Rose, b. in NJ about 1763. he was married to a Sarah or Sophia Gardner. They came to Harrison Co. after 1800. They had the following children: Henry, Martha, Mary, Jacob, Amos, Hugh, Gardner, James, Nancy, John, Susannah. He died Aug. 10 1840 is Harrison Co, in the Scio area. We have been there to research through cemeteries, with no luck at finding his grave, or names of his ancestors. Does anyone have any info they would be interested in sharing????
