Mrs.Best was born in Mishawka,Ind.Aug 1,1898 to James and Anna Saltgiver,and had lived in this area most of her life.Surviving are her husband,Monte of California.three sons Paul Strain of Alliance and Donald Strain and Tony Best,both of California; five grandchildren ;and three great-grandchildren.Graveside services will be held at 2pm tomorrow at Scroggsfield Cemetery in Carroll County with Dr. John Norton Williams of First Christian Church officiating.Friends may call at the Cassady and Turkle Funeral Home this afternoon and evening. The family will not be present.
