Mahala Hoobler (b. 1824 d/o John Hoobler & Magdelena Bair) m. on 1/9/1845 in Harrison Co., OH to George Mikesell (b. 1816 s/o John Peter Mikesell & Mary Ann Long). Mahala & George had one child, Jane Mikesell, b. 8/19 in probably 1846, but maybe 1845, & d. 7/8/1906. When did George die? One source at WorldConnect gives 1/14/1845; buried Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Rumley twnshp. Illness, accident? If this dod is correct then Jane must have been b.1845. I have not found Mahala & Jane in the 1850 census. They are not in widow Mary Mikesell's home or with Jesse Mikesell (George's brother), or in her Father, John Hoobler's home. All in Rumley twnshp. The next record of Mahala is when she m. Walter Carson Maxwell (1817-1903) on 3/23/1858 in Harrison Co., OH. I am a descendant of their son, Thomas E. Maxwell.
