My Ancester was hit on the head during the robbery and killed, James Ervin Ballard. He was visiting his son Samuel Grant Ballard from Madison CO, NC He was buried there somewhere in or around Cadiz because a telegram was sent to Asheville NC for instructions where to bury him or bring him home to Nc Samuel Grant's Mother said bury him.
