Surnames: Maddox, Stokley Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/1YB.2ACI/720 Message Board Post: Wilson and Jane Maddox appear in the 1850 census of Harrison County, OH. I think they're two different head of households. I believe my G GF John D Maddox was either part of one of these families, or was living with them in 1850's. Family story is that he "took" the Maddox name when he moved to IL in 1855-56. He may have had previously had a surname of Stokley. Very confusing. Any help/leads would be really appreciated. Gene
