I believe that he is the Revolutionary War veteran that took out a land patent at Steubenville, Jefferson Co., Ohio. He came from Fayette Co., PA. I have some info on him and I will investigate what I have regarding Mary Kent-Thomas Archbold. Others may know about these lines and I will also look at the Ohio Genealogical Soceity Library at my next visit.
