But it appears that she did die from childbirth. Her husband may have remarried. She is only listed once as giving birth in the birth books. _________________ In the 1910 census at Ancestry.com, he is listed as 6 yrs old, nephew of John S. Rose. In the same cemetery, Patterson: John Stanley Rose, April 14, 1853 - Nov. 1, 1927 Sophia, his wife, May 5, 1855 - Mar. 25, 1940 Lawrence V. Rose 1888 - 1965 Audra V. 1891 - 1944 ________________ 1910 census, Washington Twp., pg 239B John S. 56, all born in Ohio, all parents born in Ohio, farmer Sophia 54, wife Ora A. 6, nephew __________________ possible father of Ora: 1900 census, Deersville Mc Cleland Rose, Jan. 1862, 38 boarder in the household of Frubern???? __________________ Check the 1880 census at FamilySearch and you will find a Mclenen Rose as a laborer in the Birney household. Then click on next household and there is a Garner Rose family. This could possibly be McCleland's parents. NO PROOF - just assumptions right now. Hi Great information on the Harrison Co. ROSE family that settled in that area early in the 1800s. Please do me one favor, double check the date you listed for John Stanley ROSE. You show it as being April 14, 1853 and my records show it as April 14, 1854. I want to make sure I do not have a typo on the year. The John Stanley ROSE you listed was the son of John Stanley ROSE Sr. born about 1815 possibly in VA. He married Elizabeth "Betsy" Jane FORD on 08 Jun 1843 in Harrison Co. John Sr. was the son of Robert and Sarah or Sophia ROSE. Ora Allen ROSE born 02 Feb 1904 was the son of McClelland Browning ROSE and Orpha WEST. McClelland was the son of the John Stanley ROSE Sr. that I mentioned earlier. Would love to hear from any other Harrison Co. ROSE decendents out there. I have a lot of information I would be willing to share/exchange on this family. Robert and Sophia/Sarah ROSE are my 4th great grandparents. Tom C.
