A famous event in my mother's family, the Norquests, was the fire that destroyed the huge barn on their land before they bought it in 1929. This fire started Sept. 13, 1939 and it was supposed to have burned for weeks. Though not wishing to divulge anyone's birthday, I'd like to ask if you were living in or near Cadiz during 1939, if you ever heard about the fire? If you did, would you please write me? Also do you have easy access to the Cadiz paper's archives? Could you please check the paper around that time for any mention of the fire.
