I am so excited to meet you. I think we could have a connection here, but I don't have any dates for what names you have. And I apologize for not checking the message boards lately..and we have been in and out a lot this year. So I've not been too dedicated to family research for the past 2 months. I don't recall my exact inquiry, but please note I am interested in finding out Dias's parents and where they were from. And the Beltz heritage and Elizabeth's parents. Nothing can be found among older family papers that my cousin has showing any Fowler/Beltz I received my information from the 1880 Census Gilmore, Tuscarawas Ohio. At that time Dias was 39 yrs old. Which would make his birthyear 1841. My interest began with one of his sons, James Fowler b.1874 as he is my gr.grandfather. This is the oldest information I have: (maybe I gave this to you already?) Dias Fowler (I believe he has a middle initial of N b.1841 married Elizabeth Beltz 3/15 1862 Harrison Ohio In 1880 census for Tuscarawas He was a sawyer (sawmill operator) Wife: Elizabeth 37 yrs old David A. 18 yrs (sawmill worker) Elmer E. 15 yrs John 11 yrs V.Della 9 (was known by my 2nd and 3rd cousins as Aunt Dell) James 5 yrs old I would say you can go by Dias and not the A, as in the handwritten census he D in David could be taken for an A and we know that couldn't be Would appreciate if you have any dates for your folks and I don't know if I have helped you or not. I'll continue to keep checking. Please email me direct [email protected] Thanks alot

Is that the Joseph W. KENT who was the son of Absalom KENT and Mary WALKER? I have no hard information on him except that he was born in Harrison Co. OH about 1838 which sort of ties into the one you mention. Some of this is up for debate and as a matter of fact some of it is hotly debated but here is what I show in my records: Absalom KENT who married Jane Ann LEE was the son of Absalom KENT (1810-1877) and Mary WALKER. Absalom KENT who married Mary WALKER was son of Absalom KENT(1777-1875) and Mary HART. The Absalom KENT who married Mary HART was the son of Absalom KENT (1752-1835) and Tabitha HUNTER. The Absalom KENT who married Tabitha HUNTER was the son of Absalom KENT (1701-1765) and Ann or Nancy UNKNOWN. He was in turn the son of John KENT of ENGLAND and Unknown mother. John was the son of Henry KENT and Martha BRASHEARS. Henry was the son of Henry KENT and Unknown mother. Hope this helps. The only two children I show for Absalom and Jane Lee are: David A KENT b. 30 Apr 1863 and William P. KENT b. 09 Apr 1862. I am not saying there were not others, I'm just saying those were the only two that I have in my records. I would like to welcome those of you new to this site and tell you there are some really great folks who are willing to help just for the asking. I, myself do Volunteer research at Andersonville Civil War Prison in Andersonville Georgia. There are Any research I do is absolutely at NO cost and I am willing to do what I can. There are 3857 prisoners on record from the state of Ohio and more than 1100 who died here, I thought I would send my offer. Here are my sources of research. There are 2 online databases to do lookups.....One by name...one by Company and Regiment. I also have a copy of the Dorence Atwater Death list which has the names and grave numbers of 12960 graves with only 460 marked as " UNKNOWN " This along with a CD I have which contains 34,000 names of the 45,000 who were imprisoned there which helps me find prisoner records because of misspellings of the names or alternate names. I visit the prison site every couple of weeks and have access to the onsite databases as well as the physical files. I would like to let you know of another service I offer which is to take photos of graves for a small fee. Please do not concider this spam as my research offer is FREE for the asking and will be posted on this county site only once. If there is anything I can do in helping your research at Andersonville, please just ask.
