    1. Re: [OHHARRIS] VIRUS FOUND, PLEASE HEED THID ADVICE AND DELETE IT!!!!!!
    2. Bob & Julie Clark
    3. Anytime you get a virus warning that one, says "virus software can't detect it", and two, "go delete this file" it is almost certainly a hoax. Another hoax tip-off is "Microsoft just issued this virus warning!", Microsoft does not do that. Someone is playing a joke on all of us with these, just to see how far they can spread the panic, and how many computers they can damage. If you are really worried about viruses, install protection and keep it up to date. And don't ever delete a file on your computer that you don't know about, simply based on some forwarded e-mail. Let the virus protection software take care of it. At 10:00 AM 9/21/02 -0400, you wrote: >According to Symantec, (Norton AV), and CIACHoaxbusters, jdbgmgr.exe is not >a virus but a useful program. 3. According to Symantec, (Norton AV), and CIACHoaxbusters, jdbgmgr.exe is not a virus but a useful program. Deleting it may require reinstallation for which a work-around/download has been established. Their advice is not to delete, that this message is a hoax and should be ignored. If you are uncertain, please contact websites: www.symantec.com or http://hoaxbusters.ciac.org . Both sites have search engines on which you can search results for jdbgmgr.exe and judge for yourself. 3. Hello everyone, I finally got around to hunting up the AULD family info about my AULD family. I am sending this to everyone who has contacted me about our AULD ancestry. I hope I do not make too many typing errors. JOHN AULD born 1726 where? died 6 June 1773 in Killinchy, Co. Down, Ireland married GRIZEL/GRACE STEWART born 1730 and died 24 Feb 1814 in Killinchy, Co. Down, Ireland. JOHN and GRACE married about 1750. CHILDREN THAT I KNOW OF: SAMUEL AULD born (probably) Co.Down, Ireland in 1755 married CATHERINE DICKEY about 1778 in Ireland immigrated to America in 1787 with brothers WILLIAM AULD, and JOHN AULD my ancestor. SAMUEL AULD married CATHERINE DICKEY born about 1778 they had 10 children including WILLIAM AULD born Sadsbury Twp., Lancaster Co., PA ( this is the reason Samuel, William and John are called the AULDS of Sadsbury.) some of Samuel and Catherine Auld's children, not in birth order. William Auld born 24 Nov 1792 Lancaster Co., PA married 1st to Mary McAdoo in 1817; married 2nd to Elizabeth Todd, in Harrison Co., Ohio on 11 June 1822; married 3rd to Elizabeth Alexander after 1828; died Crawfordsville, Washington (Co., or Twp.) ROSE CUNNINGHAM of Guernsey Co., Ohio 25 Nov 1847; died Excelsior Springs, MO 15 Dec. 1894; after Rose died in 1874 he married twice more. Alexander and Rose had children including: Elizabeth Ann Auld born Guernsey Co., Ohio 23 Aug 1850 she married Francis Marion Ferguson, Johnson Co., MO 20 Oct 1868 died Whittier, Los Angeles, CA on 14 July 1939 they had 6 children including: Porter N. Ferguson born Johnson Co., MO 20 Aug 1871 who married Stella Howard, Alva Woods, OK 1895; died Whittier, Los Angeles, CA 20 July 1937 they had 6 children THIS INFO came from another researcher: Samuel Auld born Ireland 1755 had the following children that I know of: Mary born 1790 William born 24 Nov 1792 Stewart born 25 June 1795 Robert born 1801-1802 Elizabeth born 1806 Charles ? and possibly Eleanor K. 1811-1819 This Auld family moves to Harrison Co., Ohio 1822 on July 9 Samuel's wife Catherine Dickey Auld died 1828 Samuel Auld married to Martha Meloin 1835 Samuel Auld died on March 30 in Steubenville, Ohio My knowledge of Samuel Auld is limited, but Kay Martin has info on Samuel's family. You will probably find info by her on http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/surnames/a/u/AULD/biographies?rea d=6 or genforum.familytreemaker.com/auld and look for Kay Martin's name. 1. [OHHARRIS] Reunion of the 12th O.V.C. (June 1909)
    2. Laurence E. Dickerson
    3. Someone may find this article interesting. It appeared in the July 8, 1909 edition of the Cadiz Republican. “12th Ohio Cavalry, A Happy Reunion at the Home of Comrade T.C. Mills. Tuesday, June 22d, 1909, is another day to be long remembered by some of the boys of Company H, 12th O.V.C. These boys were once young and gay, though now old, and bald, and gray. Nine of our comrades by invitation met at the home of T.C. Mills and wife, three miles from Gnaddenhutten, Ohio, and spent the day with him and family. We were met with outstretched hands and made welcome to their beautiful home. Part of the forenoon was spent in the strawberry patch eating fruit and relating stories of the by-gone days. At noon the dinner call was sounded and the old boys stepped forward to the music as they did in the sixties, and surrounded the table spread with all the substantials and luxuries which the country could afford. All the boys did ample justice; (except the writer of this, who could not get around it all; he had to call a halt, being crowded by John King.) After dinner all met under a beautiful shade tree, where the meeting was called to order by chairman Isaac Campbell, and business for the coming year was considered. It was moved and carried that the next reunion be held in June, 1910, at the home of John Dillehay, Cambridge, Ohio. The boys present at this reunion were the following: James Begg, Cambridge, Ohio John Dillehay, Cambridge Isaac Campbell, Moorefield T.N. Mills, Uhrichsville John P. King, Scio Jas. P. Quigley, Cadiz John Lewis, Dennison T.C. Mills, Gnaddenhutten L.D. McFadden, Bethany, W. Va. Letters were read by Mr. Mills’s daughter from three absent comrades, unable to be with us, expressing their sorrow because of their inability to share with us the joys of this reunion. The first was from Mahlon Bonam, of Cameron, Missouri, the second from Sam Dundon, of Missouri, and the third from Lieutenant Caldwell, of Chicago. The ladies present at this reunion were Mrs. Mills, Mrs. Dillehay, and Mrs. Campbell and her grand-daughter, Fla. Cramblett. We were all grateful to Mr. and Mrs. Mills for the splendid manner in which they entertained us all, and after tendering to them a vote of thanks, we parted with hearty handshakes and sad hearts, yet hoping that all these and many more will meet next year at Comrade Dillehay’s. Before separating for our several homes we all visited the beautiful monument in the cemetery at Gnaddenhutten, erected in memory of the Indian massacre of more than a hundred years ago. L.D. Mc.”

    1. [OHHARRIS] Baptist Church in or around Jewett
    2. Does anyone know if there was a Baptist church around Jewett that my Criplivers might have belonged to. I had found a paper saying that when they were in Fayette County pa they belonged to a Mill Run Baptist Church from 1791 to 1806 when Adam and Phillip left pa for Harrison county Ohio Adam is listed as a early Settler of Harrison County in 1806. What I need is proof that John HEnry born in 1809 was son of Phillip and Susannah Bair Cripliver for OGS First Families of Ohio HOST GFS [email protected]

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Emfield, Tipton, Empfield, Infield, Imfeldt Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/1YB.2ACI/762 Message Board Post: We are seeking any information on John & Elizabeth (Tipton) Emfield or their descendants in the vicinity of Harrison or Jefferson Counties, OH. John Emfield was a pioneer of Harrison County, being listed in the 1820, 1830 & 1840 census. He died between 1840-1850, for his wife was listed as Head-of-Household in the 1850, with the younger children who were still at home. Of particular interest is one HENRY MERLE EMFIELD, (Dec 1849-Jan 1923) who appears to be John & Elizabeth's grandson (father may be one of their older sons). We are trying to find him in the 1850 census, but no luck so far (he will be a 1 monh+ baby with his Emfield parents.) The Emfield Historical Society web page can be found at: www.myfamily.com Temporary user name: browsing Temporary password: emfield If you have any information on this line, please contact us! Thanks, Eric & Jennifer Emfield
