    3. Charles M. Best ,59 died Wednesday morning at his home,615 4th st NE.He had lived in Canton for 40 years ,during which time he was with the Best Street Lighting company. Mr. Best was a member of the First United Evangelical church,and the Junior Order of American Mechanics, Washington council. Surviving are hs wodow,Anna; two daughters Mrs.Ella Crawford,of the home,and Mrs. Leslie Cook,New Philadelphia;two sons Glenn W.Canton, and Earl, Akron; two brothers,Jason ,Franklin ,Tex,and Francis, Canton;two sisters Mrs.Rev.Frank Frye,Orleans,Mich,and Ella McClain ,Oklahoma City,Okla.and four grandchildren .Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 0'clock at the home,Rev.Seesholtz will be in charge.Burial will be made in Westlawn cemetery. Doing my homework !

    3. Tom, You are right. I had a typo. He is listed as April 14, 1854. Looks like you should be able to help Diane quite a bit. I still want to find the obits as it will tell if Donald was still alive and where living in 1996. I am not a Rose family. Was just doing a lookup. I will post the obits once I get them. You show it as being April 14, 1853 and my records show it as April 14, 1854. I want to make sure I do not have a typo on the year. The John Stanley ROSE you listed was the son of John Stanley ROSE Sr. born about 1815 possibly in VA. He married Elizabeth "Betsy" Jane FORD on 08 Jun 1843 in Harrison Co. John Sr. was the son of Robert and Sarah or Sophia ROSE. Ora Allen ROSE born 02 Feb 1904 was the son of McClelland Browning ROSE and Orpha WEST. McClelland was the son of the John Stanley ROSE Sr. that I mentioned earlier. Would love to hear from any other Harrison Co. ROSE decendents out there. You mentioned the mother's name of Donald as Ethel. Maybe it was actually Alta - Hazel Alta. Also at Ancestry.com at the World Connect Family trees, Ora is listed and there is a daughter, Dorothy that married a Huston. You can check that out. That part of Ancestry.com is free.

Coulter and Mattie Lemmon married January 15, 1873 by Thomas Love. I checked the marriage indexes from 1891 to 1912 and did not find Carrie Coulter and Francis Gleason. Have you tried Jefferson County. Robert and Mattie and quite a few other Coulters are buried in Olive Branch Cemetery in Harrisville. I grew up in Harrisville and knew Floyd Coulter and his wife Jean.

    3. FYI: that's "infarct," not "intract". An infarct is the result of an artery's being obstructed. Nowadays we would probably see the word "stroke" if this occurs in the brain, though the term "infarct" is still in use. Susan Osburn
