    1. [OHHARRIS] Photo of Annie & Clarence MILLER, taken in Freeport
    2. Celia
    3. Hello folks, I've rescued from e-bay a few items this week. ITEM #4: ***Photo of Annie & Clarence MILLER, taken by Schwab in Freeport, O. *** This 4x5.5 inch photo is identfied as Annie & Clarence MILLER. They are probably siblings. Clarence looks to be about age 2 is standing on the chair in a dress, and Annie is sitting on the same chair and looks to be about age 4 or 5. I'm not good at guessing time periods of photos, but I'd say late 1800s, given the clothing, shoes, and the fact that it is a photo mounted on a heavy cardstock. It is a beautiful clear photo of these children. I would like to get this photo home to a descendant of Annie or Clarence MILLER, for my costs....$6 including shipping. --Celia :o) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Celia L. 3. Sorry the late post, just catching up after vacation. I agree Keith is a great seller to deal with. He ships really fast and communicates well. I, too have bought several books from him. Many of the books he sells are also available from the Tuscarawas Co. Gen Society, so make sure you check their list and don't bid too high. For those of you who don't know you can contact your Federal Senator or Congressperson to ask them to contact the White House Greeting Office for anyone who is 80 years old or older or been married for 50 years & they will send an appropriate greeting for your loved one or friend. I just thought you would like to know. 3. I will be happy to send a card. My husband connects through the Spiker-Carnes connection. I have Welch-McClenighan ancestors in Harrison County. Interestingly enough, my McClenighan ancestor bought his land from Absalom Kent, who is a connection of my husband's Spiker line. You are correct about the connections 80 years ago. Thanks for the posting. How do your Carnes connect to Ara/Aerie Carnes who married Christopher Spiker? Robin Taylor

    3. Hi Janet! Could someone who goes to that meeting ask if anyone knows who Thomas Drake's parents were? He was born 1810 in MD. to unknown parents or siblings. He married Hannah Browning 25 Jan.1837. She was born circa 1815 in either OH. or MD. also to unknown parents or siblings. They moved to Monroe Co.,OH. & had 10 children. Their names were: William,Benjamin,John,Thomas Carter(my line),George Washington,Mary Elizabeth,Wesley,Frederick,Cassandra & Esther Ann Drake. By the 1870 census most of the family had moved to Wapello Co.,IA. where we suspect Thomas & Hannah Drake died. I found a William Drake in the 1820 Harrison Co.,OH. census but have not found out who his wife & children were. Any help would be appreciated for these 2 brick walls of mine!
