Apparantly, a sibling of my grandmother, John Berton/Burton MILLER, born after 1880, in Harrison Co., became a minister. With no 1890 Census, he is lost to me in 1900, because he is probably old enough to be on his own or in a Seminary, AND John is not with his parents. There are too many John MILLERs to keep randomly searching. If anyone can assist me, I would greatly appreciate the help. Sandy

Searching for information on John R. Harmon (Harmen?) and wife Arminta Gertrude Harmon. They married December 5, 1895 in Carroll County and were the parents of 3 sons: Floyd Raymond (b. 1897), Ralph A. (b. 1898) and Orton L. (b. 1900). Both John and Arminta died in Harrison County - John on Aug. 23, 1935 and Arminta on August 20, 1919. Arminta was the daughter of Solomon Burrier and Eliza Jane Lowmiller Burrier, born December 12, 1876 in Loudon Twp., Carroll County. She was my grandmother's sister. Would like to find out more about John & Arminta and family, possibly find someone related to them. Can anyone help? Thank you. Sue Chism chism2003@sbcglobal.net
HELLO EVERYONE I WOULD LIKE TO WISH ALL OF YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR. JANET LIST ADMIN.
Seeking information regarding husband of Matilda McBeth. According to the 1900 census, Matilda had 4 children (three were living in 1900). She is listed as a widow and is living with her brother John. I know the names of two of the children, Leona McGill was born in July of 1880 and Anna McGill was born in July of 1881. Does anyone know the name of Matilda's husband and the names of her two other children. Thanks in advance, and Merry Christmas to all. Kathy
I've placed a bid on the item in question under the name Vintonbuyer. I've also acquired the last one mentioned on this board http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2209347043&category=29466&rd=1 Copies will be made for appropriate libraries and history societies. Historical documents are found on E-bay by the hundreds daily. Last year my wife bought several hundred Lycoming county Pa documents for my birthday. I've compiled an index of most of them for libraries. My specialty was Vinton County, Ohio documents and postcards as well as old genealogy bibles. I've located descendants for two bibles and some photographs which I returned to them. Many people purchase these items at estate auctions and see only profit. Richard D. Morgan

Even though it frustrates me that these get out of the courthouse and end up at auction sites. Are there any at the courthouse, I ask, as I have one from this exact time frame that I'm researching. A bit of a clarification on this family. Anna is the SISTER of George. The only one that signed for permission of her daughter was Elizabeth (Myers)Rousch. George was a witness. The father John died according to my records in 1820 so 1) my date may be off or 2) he was ill and had his wife take care of it. Anna's older sister Elizabeth (Elizabeth Rousch Hendricks Cisler/Sisler) was a stepmother to my gr gr grandfather, thus my interest in this line. Thanks for posting this! I have a copy of a marriage license that says the witness attests to the brides age - or something to that effect. I believe that he was her brother-in-law - would that mean her parents were not available or did not approve?? The one I have is Jefferson County, but I would think the practices would be similar...
