Surnames: Wilcox, Rice, Watkins, Liles, Watt Classification: Will Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/DWB.2ACE/98 Message Board Post: Last Will and Testament of Thomas Wilcocks In the matter of the last Will + Testament May 1st A D 1858 of Thomas Wilcox, deceased The last will and testament of Thomas Wilcocks late of Hardin County Ohio deceased, was this day produced in court and John Rice Edward Watkins and Joseph Liles, the subscribing witnesses to said will appeared in open court on oath testified to the due execution of said will which testimony was reduced to writing and filed with said will and it appearing to the court by said testimony that said will was duly attested and executed and that said testator at the time of Execution the same was of full age and of sound mind and mem- ory and not under any restraint it is ordered that said will and testimony be recorded and which is now accordingly done in the Words and figures following to wit. In the name of God Amen. I Thomas Wilcocks in the county of Hardin and State of Ohio, being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life do therefore make ordain pub- lish and declare this to be my last will and testament That is to say first after all my lawful debts are paid and discharged the residue of my Estate real and personal I give and bequeath and dispose of as follows to wit - To my beloved wife her set off and one years maintenance of the personal property according to law and also her main- tenance from my real estate during her life time and if she wish so to do to have the previlege of living on my farm that is my real Estate the balance of my property Real and personal to be divided Equaly among my seven children that being the number of my children. In witness I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal the Eighth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight Hundred and fifty-Eight Thomas Wilcocks seal The above written instrument was subscribed by the said Thomas Wilcocks in our presence and acknowledged by him to each of us and he at the same time pub- lished and declared the above instrument so subscribed to be his last will and testament and we at the testators request and in his presence have signed our names as witnesses hereto and written oposite to our names our respective places of residence.
