My records are as follows: Elizabeth "Betsy" Bowers b: Abt. 1784 in Virginia d: July 15, 1840 in McDonald Twp,., Hardin County, Ohio. I don't know what twp. Roundhead might be in. John Hites, her husband, of course then is my GGG-Grandfather. You show: "Born 02-18-1790 Died 12-06-1876. See Vet Listing) Old Church Cemetery-Main Section- row 8- number 07". I don't know what the note "See Vet Listing" means. My records are: John Hites III (since I have several John Hites I have given them numbers) b: February 18, 1791 in Virginia d: December 06, 1876 in Hardin County, Ohio. Would you have a map showing the location of the rows and numbers for this cemetery? It was a rainy day when we were there and went to two cemeteries near Roundhead. They were just a short distance from each other and on opposite sides of the road. The one nearest town was the older one, looking back I don't think I saw any Hites headstones. We visited 20 cemeteries during Memorial week and some 65 gravesites. So I am having trouble remembering just what was where. I was born near Belle Center, but over the border in Hardin county. I still have an elderly Aunt living near there. My cousin, her son, is trustee of the Fairview-McDonald cemetery. He gave me a book on the "McDonald Twp. Cemetery inscriptions." I found an interesting site on cemeteries; www.interment.net/us/oh/index.htm . Some of the listings are detailed and of course some not. The other listing you supplied was of Caty A. Hites; and she is in my file. I did not have the exact dates for her. With what you supplied then she must have been born Mar 6, 1840.
