You will get the following information from the marriage records 1850-1860: The name of the groom and bride The date of application for the license The name of the person who applied for the license, usually the groom, but not always If either the bride or groom was not of legal age (18 for females and 21 for males), the one under age needed permission from a parent or guardian. Sometimes, if you are lucky, you get the name of the person who gave permission. The date of the marriage and the name of the minister or Justice of the Peace who performed the marriage ceremony if they returned the information to the court to be recorded in the book. Usually they did. As Patti said, you can call or write to the courthouse. I don't know what they charge. The Family History Library in Salt Lake has the information on microfilm: Film # 0914842 - Hardin Co., Ohio Marriage records Vol. 1-3, 1833-1867. It would cost you about $3.25 to view this film at your local Family History Center. Generally, the Family History Centers charge $0.25 to print a copy from microfilm. If you are patient, I have a copy of this film on indefinite loan at my local Family History Center, and I could look them up for you. I have a few other lookups to finish first.
