The Hardin County Genealogy Society have many Obituary Books for sale listed on their web page. You could contact them to see if they could check the name indexes for certain individuals. I don't know if they have enough help to actually look for obits and copy them. Maybe if you are lucky, the peope you are looking for have obits in their books they have for sale. Their web page address is: http://users.dbscorp.net/genealogy/default.htm Patti ----- Original Message ----- From: "Alice Beyke" <alice34@alltel.net> To: <OHHARDIN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, March 29, 2000 6:08 PM Subject: Fw: newspapers and obituaries > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Alice Beyke > To: OHHARDIN-L@rootsweb.com > Sent: Wednesday, March 22, 2000 1:22 PM > Subject: newspapers and obituaries > Researching the sur-name RIGHTMIRE &TROTT in Hardin County. > > In the State where I live the State Historical Society maintains a library that is a repository for the States newspapers. They are on micro film. For a small fee, if you have the death date and place of death, they will search the newspapers for an obituary. Is there something similar in Ohio ? I would like to find obituaries for several people who lived in Hardin County in the 1800's. thanks, Alice > > > > > > > > > > > ============================== > Join the RootsWeb WorldConnect Project: > Linking the world, one GEDCOM at a time. > http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/ > >
