Thanks, Allan, for making this valuable information available. My own gg-grandparents, Peter and Susannah (White) Cross were among those profiled in the sketches. I am wondering if anyone knows how the sketches were compiled. Might volunteers have gone door-to-door soliciting interviews? Seems as that my Osborns, long-time Hardin County residents, managed to avoid inclusion. Sure could have been some priceless nuggets of family history in a good profile. In any event, it looks like the county history would make fascinating reading for those of us with Hardin County connections. Gonna' have to start saving my pennies.
