    3. Just a yearly refresher post to the list. I'm after the Osborns/Osbuns of Hardin and Richland Counties (and no doubt other places). The earliest known appears to be Samuel, born 1742 in NY/NJ, and married to Sarah Holmes. Samuel is reputed to have served in the Revolution. He and at least a part of his family arrived in Richland Co. early in OH history. He and Sarah are buried there. Son Nathaniel and wife Ann Emmons came to Hardin sometime in the 1840's. I am descended from Nathaniel's son Jacob E. and his wife Amy. Some parts of the family have the name as "Osbun", others, including mine, as "Osborn". There may have been other connections to Revolutionary War participation (Holmes? Emmons?), but I have no specific information. Anyone with connections to the families, or information about them, is invited to correspond. Tom Osborn California
