    1. Researching Bailey and Roth families in Hardin County
    2. Hi there! My ancestors are Elliot Bailey, born 1835 in Hardin County, who fought in the Civil War with an Ohio regiment, and his wife Caroline Roth Bailey, born in 1850, who was also from Hardin County. Caroline's parents were Jacob and Ann Roth. Elliot's parents were Silas Bailey, and Harriet Rial Bailey, who was born in Kentucky in 1809. They were married in Logan County in 1829, and lived in Hardin County the rest of their lives. They had several other children besides Elliot. Elliot and Caroline moved to Fulton County Indiana after their marriage in 1871. Other Baileys and Roths stayed behind in Hardin County........we have many old family pictures and postcards from Kenton, Ohio in family albums. I know some about the Bailey family, having connected with two cousins, but know nothing about the Roths. Anyone out there researching these families also, or could give me some ideas on searching for these earlier ancestors? Thanks! Caroline Fultz Jones Indianapolis, IN
