The Obituary Daily Times is a daily index of published obituaries. It is distributed FREELY, often twice a day by email, and usually has over 2500 entries a day. You can search the database anytime with the search engine above. The Obituary Daily Times mailing list is intended mostly (but not only) for Family Historians, researchers and compilers (ex. researching all of ONE FAMILY). The Obituary Daily Times is an index of published obituaries across the world. Regular contributors (volunteers) can request information about particular obituaries between themselves. WE DO NOT HAVE THE ACTUAL OBITUARIES. Regular volunteers may request a particular copy from each other. For others, GEN-OBIT is an easy way to find a publication date of an obit. You can then refer to the newspaper to get a copy of it (at the library or directly with the newspaper itself). Visit the ODT web site at <http://www.rootsweb.com/~obituary>

Thought this might help someone. Gloria (Taken from: THE KIM KOMANDO NATIONAL TALKRADIO SHOW E-ZINE) ~~~~~~~~~ TAME VBS E-MAIL VIRUSES You know about the danger of double-clicking on e-mail attachments--especially VBS files. By just following a few simple steps, you can block Visual Basic Script (VBS) viruses from infecting your Windows 95/98/Me system. The problem stems from the Windows default action for double clicking on these files--the "open" command. By changing this action to "edit" the file will be harmlessly displayed in Notepad instead of being executed (and infecting your computer). In Windows Me, go to Control Panel, select Folder Options, and choose the File Types tab. From the displayed files, select a file with the .vbs extension, and click the Advanced tab. Next, highlight Edit and select the Set Default button. (you might also want to repeat the process for files with the following extensions, too: .js, .jse, .scr, .shs, and .shb). In 95/98, start in Explorer and select View, then Folder Options. Click the File Types tab and scroll through the displayed list of file types (the details are listed at the bottom of the window). Scroll to the file with a .vbs extension and then select Edit, and choose Edit from the Actions list and click the Default button (repeat the process for the other extensions listed above). If edit isn't listed in the Actions window, select New, type Edit in the Action window and c:\windows\notepad.exe in the Application used to perform action window, then click on OK. Computers are easy with Kim Komando by your side!

I know that they had at least one child, Jesse Franklin Reese who was born July 5, 1856 in Hardin County, OH. I think that sometime between 1856 and 1865 Thomas must have died because she got remarried to Christian Lambert in 1865. Jesse Franklin Reese married Mary Ellen Newland in 1883. Do any of these names sound familiar? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Nora (Reese) Hertenstein [Admin note: moved from obits page]

Posted on: Hardin Co. Oh Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Oh/Hardin/10067 Surname: Hites ------------------------- There is a Hitesville Cemetery in Butler Co. Iowa. I am positive a large number of Hites' moved there from Hardin Co, Ohio. There also is a Hitesville, Ky or at least there was years ago. Sorry I do not have much information on that site. A William Hites m a Clista Milista (Harrington?) and moved from Hardin Co. Ohio to Independence, Montgomery Co? Kansas in the mid to late 1800's. I believe my Great Grandfather Hites came from a family of twelve children. Two brothers later went to Indianapolis and were involved in the origins of the Volunteers of America. One was named Earle and the other Roy or LeRoy, I believed they lived in Danville, IN. I have been concentrating on the Butterley side of my family since my Great-Great-Great Grandfather is a direct line to Louth Co. Ireland. I have randomly gathered facts about the Hites, Holes, DeBrulers, and Burns families but I don't have a very well organized program on the other families yet. Hope this is of some help to you. Bob
