Tonight I extracted the following names from the Cass Twp, Hancock County, Ohio 1850 census. They are ones showing birthplace as Virginia. Catherine Karn (sp?) wife of Joshua age 35 household 59 John MacKrill wife Susannah age 51 household 82 Catherine Crawford (living with James Crawford, prob son) age 53 household 95 Isaac Baker wife Rebecca age 48 household 81 Edward Corzzar wife Mary Ann age 26 household 11 Mary Cobb husband Foster age 33 household 7 In addition, Sarah Eckert husband John age 53 household 3 (census says PA, but should be VA we believe) John and Sarah went from Fairfield County to Cass Twp, Hancock County, in 1839 or so. Would like to correspond with descendants of any of the above. However, we are particularly interested in Mary and Foster Cobb. They are buried in the Baker-Hamlin Cemetery, right near Findley, where John and Sarah Eckert are buried. Also interested in the Isaac Baker descendants of above, and those of Alexander Baker, James Baker and John Baker - the last three are buried at the Baker-Hamlin Cemetery. Alexander was married to John and Sarah's daughter Catherine. One more item - living with John and Sarah Eckert in 1850 is a Emaline Huffman, age 8 (who stayed with Sarah through 1870 census) and a Tallman Beardsley, age 7. We do not know who these children are. By the way, anyone needing a lookup for Cass Twp only, 1850, let us know. Don and Mary in Wyoming
