Brown, Publ. Chicago, Warner, Beers & Co., 1886. I can't connect this family to my Mahlon James WARD of Findlay, Hancock Co, Ohio- but maybe someone else out there can claim this family. Family came to Ohio in 1815 with 3 sons, David, Jonathan and N. H., settling in Columbiana Co where 6 more children were born to them: Joshua, Seth, Mahala, Edmond, Artemus & Sarah. N. H. waard became a tailor and came to Findlay, Ohio in 1834 where for 5 years he had a tailor shop. He spent 5 yrs tailoring in Palestine, Ohio and in 1844 came to Findlay, (Hancock Co) Ohio. He married Nov 6 1834 Casander BAYLESS b 1807 and d Aug 3, 1836. In 1837 he married Casander LEONARD b 1811 who shortly before her death bore him a son, Leonard C. WARD b 29 May 1838 who died (a Mt Union College student) at age 24 on 17 May 1862. In 1839 Mr. N. H. WARD married 3rd, Eliza McCAULLY b July 24, 1814 and to them were born 3 children, two who survived: A. J. WARD b Jan 12 1844 married in 1879 Coraline HOYT and H. Kate WARD b 17 Feb 1849 married R.
